As federal funding for research tightens, the school seeks to diversify its sources of research funding as a strategy to continue and expand its discovery work. Philanthropic support for nursing research may fund projects ranging from small-scale feasibility studies to randomized controlled trials to predictive modeling that employs our school’s leading expertise in big data science. An investment in nursing research will provide faculty with needed resources to pursue important projects and expedite the translation of findings into new interventions and practices.
