Hi guys. I wanted to quickly jump on and address a bunch of the questions that I've been getting around a post I did around the right and wrong breakfast to be consuming and whether that means breakfast in terms of breaking your fast or breakfast in the traditional sense of having it as soon as you get up, same deal. So whatever you're eating first thing in the morning or whatever your first meal is of the day, I guess.

And I think a number of people message me around, you know, I am getting hungry two hours after I have breakfast, this is what I'm having is you know, what could the problem be? And the first thing you need to remember is that everyone is an individual. So what your problem is might not be what the next person's problem is.

And although I guess in saying that, the two most common things I see or reasons I see as to why you would be getting hungry two hours after eating, which just for context, generally speaking, you don't want to be getting hungry at least three hours after eating, ideally around that four or five mark so your digestive system has a really good amount of time to actually rest.

There are exception to that, so if you've got adrenal fatigue or you have really, really high energy needs or you are breastfeeding or you are pregnant then sometimes smaller, more frequent meals can be of benefit. Or if you do have a really difficult time controlling your blood sugar, then it can also be a benefit then.

But generally speaking, outside of those special circumstances for optimal health, optimal gut health in particular and all that kind of stuff and to allow your system time to rest between meals, we really want to be saying about a, I generally say about a four hour window in between eating on average, so doesn't necessarily mean you have to eat after four hours on the dot. It could be that it's slightly longer than that. Just depends.
