A NEW METHOD has been discovered to help finding Sizzlipede! The Ability "Flash Fire" now works the same as Static on Electric types and Magnet Pull on Steel types! If you put a Pokémon with the Flash Fire ability in the first spot in your party, it will force the game to let you encounter a fire type Pokemon 50% of the time (given that there is a fire type Pokemon in that area) and Sizzlipede is the only fire type! Therefore the encounter rate of Sizzlipede goes from 1% to 50% by using this new method. It does not matter if your Flash Fire Pokemon is fainted or not. Vulpix can be found in Route 3 by a 15% chance and will always have Flash Fire if you catch it there. In Route 3, Vulpix is exclusive to Pokemon Sword.
Growlithe can be found in Route 3 by a 15% chance, but can have the abilities Intimidate and Flash Fire. It is only Flash Fire that works. In Route 3, Vulpix is exclusive to Pokemon Shield.
