Akarsha Kamala is an electrical engineer by profession. He is an avid Cinema lover and a writer. Being a passionate Short movie maker, his short titled 'Present Sir' has won 2nd Best film at Shankar Nag memorial trust awards. Also, it was officially selected in Bengaluru International Short film festival.
Akarsha Kamala is a poet too and his poem titled 'Tonight on 90 minutes' has won a commendable mention in the top 10 of the great Indian poetry festival whose jury includes Javed Akhtar and Kalki Koechlin. Akarsha has done subtitles for numerous short films and feature films like Kempirve and Night out. His debut Kannada poetry collection ‘Grafittiya Hoovu’ has been received well with honorable mentions in the leading newspapers of Karnataka.
