Inside Tana Ulen Customary Forest

Tana ulen is a forest protected and managed based on customary law ad wisdom. It is well known for its model of traditional forest management. Many Kenyah communities have tana ulen.

Why should they protect the forest? Because they need woods and other products that will not be available if the forests are gone.

Rules of forest use is strict and any product taken from the forest is allowed only for personal use. No commercial use is allowed.
