"Citizenship Bill Won't Affect BJP's Chances": Kiren Rijiju Tells NDTV

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, who is fighting the Lok Sabha polls from the Arunachal West seat against former Chief Minister Nabam Tuki of Congress, told NDTV that the Citizenship Bill will not hurt the chances of the BJP in Arunachal Pradesh and the northeast, dismissing the threats only as "Congress propaganda". "This is not a special election. I have won elections even before BJP had a base here," Mr Rijiju said. He said people have seen the initiatives that PM Modi has taken to develop the region.
