The Bavarian village of Pottenstein was illuminated by hundreds of mountainside bonfires on Monday, for the annual Catholic Perpetual Adoration (Ewigen Anbetung) celebration. The ceremony included a procession of lights through the city, with people donning religious garments and holding candles.
The Pottenstein light display is the largest of its kind in the region, attracting thousands of visitors.
