Cute Kitty Abby gets rescued after four rainy days in a fir

Abby, a shy calico, was so ready to get down from the top of a 70 foot cedar. It's hard to imagine that she'd been balancing on those tiny cedar branches for most of four days, during some very heavy rainfall. Fortunately the rain stopped for the rescue, but poor Abby was still pretty wet.
Once I got up to her, it was clear she was desperate for help. I grabbed her and quickly secured her in the net, then down we went.

People frequently tell us that all treed cats will climb down eventually, once they're hungry enough. In Abby's case, I'm pretty sure she was very hungry and wasn't coming down on her own unless she jumped or fell.
