Amid the latest row over Rahul Gandhi's "I am not Rahul Savarkar" remark, Ranjit Savarkar, grandson of the Hindutva icon, on Sunday said that he will file a defamation case against Gandhi. Ranjit Savarkar will also be meeting Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to discuss Rahul's remark. Rahul Gandhi on Saturday took a jibe at BJP for demanding an apology for his "rape in India" remark and said, "My name is Rahul Gandhi, not Rahul Savarkar. I will never apologise for speaking truth." Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis termed Rahul Gandhi's comment on Veer Savarkar as "absolutely condemnable".
