In addition to graduate medical education, clinical rotations in all the major disciplines are provided for students from the UF College of Medicine in Gainesville. Third-year medical students enrolled at UF spend about 25 percent of their training at the Jacksonville campus, gaining valuable experience in an urban setting. While third-year rotations are only offered to UF students, elective rotations in the final year of clinical training are available to students from accredited schools in the U.S. and Canada.
For practicing physicians, the college offers a continuing medical education program that recruits national and international speakers who are well known and respected in their fields.
The campus' faculty, residents and fellows are active in clinical research. Residents and fellows regularly present their findings at locations across the country and publish their projects in high-profile publications.
