Medical Student Shacelles Bonner On Becoming a Doctor, Finding a Home at Einstein As a small child in Jamaica, Shacelles Bonner looked up to the compassionate doctors she met and regarded them as superheroes. She vowed to become one herself. Shacelles tells her story of coming to the U.S. and embarking on a journey to find the right medical school—a place where she could grow to become the kind of doctor she always dreamed of being.
