The shooter opened fire inside a classroom at Naval Air Station Pensacola, killing three people and wounding two sheriff’s deputies, one in the arm and one in the knee, before one of the deputies killed him. Eight others were also hurt. Both deputies were expected to survive.
It remains unclear whether or not this was an act of terrorism. Authorities are not yet able to confirm or deny, however they did say Sunday based on their information there is no further threat to the community and it is believed the gunman acted alone.
