Annual Christmas cake ceremony takes place (7 Dec 2019) One of the world's biggest ever Stollen cakes was put on display to an excited public in Dresden, Germany on Saturday.

The 4.1 metre (13 foot) long cake, which was unveiled in Saxony's capital, weighed in at 3,950 kilograms (8708 pounds).

The ingredients used by bakers to make the Stollen date back to 1434 and the city's Christmas market, 'Striezelmarkt' also dates back to that same year.

A piece of the cake retails for six euros ($6.64).
