The Sacramento Regional Transit board is set to vote Monday on the next step in replacing UC Davis' private shuttle service with a public plan utilizing zero emission electric buses. That transition plan is raising questions over whether the shuttering of the private shuttle will lead to more or less congestion over the Causeway on Interstate 80. "We are hopeful that the new service will be used by both UC Davis affiliates and the general public," said Matt Dulcich, UC Davis Director of Environmental Planning. "Higher use of bus service is one step to helping reduce the increased congestion on the I-80 Causeway."
