Converting Dragonlance to 5e: Level Scaling

We started our 5e Dragonlance game, and while we could have started at higher levels, we do have some new players in the group and I wanted them to go through level 1, which means I either had to do a pre-adventure adventure or scale back the levels in thje first Dragonlance module. I chose the latter.
