Rain reaches parts of western NSW but leaves desperate farmers disheartened | ABC News Two days of rain in New South Wales and it's barely had an impact in the drought-ravaged areas that need it most.

Even more frustrating, it's actually making life more difficult for firefighters in the state's north.

On the positive side, Sydney and the Hunter region both received much-needed falls.
