Periods of high volatility are the times when stocks' quality characteristics really come into play. Gordon Marchand, CFA, CPA, CIC, portfolio manager of John Hancock U.S. Global Leaders Growth Fund (USLIX), explains why his firm, Sustainable Growth Advisers (SGA), considers predictability a key element of quality stocks.
