Value Rankings You Can Use!

Value Rankings You Can Use! Many fantasy sites give you value rankings on players. It's a pretty simple calculation, just multiply the projected stats by the league point schedule and rank. However, the big problem with this is that the rankings are top heavy with Quarterbacks because that position tends to score the most points.

Yahoo's draft board has a rank column that does this and because they don't do an adjustment, it's virtually useless in drafts because you can't tell which players are a good value and which players are bad. As an example, Devante Adams' draft position is #7 but his value rank is #35, below such fantasy superstars as Marcus Mariota and Sam Darnold!

My Perfect Fantasy Draft fixes this issue and gives you player rankings that you can easily compare against the player's draft position and see if they are undervalued, fair valued, or overvalued!

What I ended up doing, is set Quarterbacks and Team Defenses to that their value is equal to their draft position. This means only RBs, WRs, and TEs have a calculated value rank. In my app, Devonta Adams is the 7th most valuable player (in 1/2 pt PPR), than means you can see he is fair value because he is currently being selected 7th on the draft board!

Going farther down the draft board when you see a player who has a better value rank than his draft position, you will know he is undervalued and is a good pick at that point in the draft! Likewise if the value rank is worse than the draft position that player is overvalued and you should stay away!
