Tango embrace: How to start and finish a tango (tips to better connection)

Tango embrace: How to start and finish a tango (tips to better connection) Dear dancer,

There is this big thing in Tango about "looking the part".

Have you ever sat at a milonga table looking in awe at those dancers on the dance floor and wondering how they look so "at ease" in this world?

Most of them don't seem to do anything you couldn't, they don't dance that much better than you, yet they seem so confident, like they "belong here"...

What we have found, after teaching thousands of people how to teach tango, is that this often doesn't have much to do with tango skills...

.. but more about an understanding of the 'codigos'

What are the 'codigos'? It's a set of 'codes', or 'invisible guidelines' that pervade the tango world and touch you differently whether you are a dancer, a DJ, a milonga organiser... that are there to help all of us connect more, feel the music better and enjoy the dancing.

And one of those codes has to do with how to start and finish a tango dance!

We speak about it in this week's video. It's incredibly helpful for better connection and musicality, and to make sure your partner feels good (and comes back for more)

Click on the video to learn:
-How not to start you dance, and how we suggest you start instead
-Why it is helpful for connection and musicality
-How to finish your dancing so you can stay connected even when the music has stopped

We really hope it helps!
