There are a lot of smaller lifts that don't require using one and will make yourself WEAKER by using one over a long period of time! That's not the goal for anyone who is serious in the powerlifting, bodybuilding, or tactical fields. Also, did you know there are different types of belts and different ways to use them properly? Making sure to use the belt to assist your lumbar and stomach rather than squeeze your brains out will allow you to properly burst through those plateaus.
