Fausto Brothers’ 1930s Inspired Dance

Fausto Brothers’ 1930s Inspired Dance In every special celebration, Marvin and I always look forward to the dance number of our sons. And they know this. They make it special and wouldn’t show it to us until their actual performance.

For this event, I requested that they use 1930s dance music. I specifically requested for Benny Goodman’s Sing Sing Sing, which was released in 1937. The beat of this song is just so powerful that you will definitely get up and dance when you hear it. In fact, there’s even a joke that this must be the song that Jesus used to heal the paralyzed man. All he needed to do was to make him listen to it and voila! Cripple no more. The song was revived during our time and was a favorite dance music at discos like Faces, Stargazer, Rumors, and what have you. The music of Aladdin entering the kingdom of Jasmin with fanfare also uses the latter part of this song

Anton, our family’s choreographer/mixer added two other songs. He started with Yakap sa Dilim, originally by the Apo and revived by Orange and Lemons, and ended with one of our love theme songs because we seem to live the lyrics, More Today Than Yesterday, rendered by Diana Ross.

Before I over explain, watch this fun dance!
