Befekadu Hailu Techane is an Ethiopian author, human rights activist, and blogger who is residing in Ethiopia. He is an editor for the Addis Maleda weekly newspaper and a coordinator for the Ethiopian Human Rights Project, a project dedicated to document and uncover rights violations in Ethiopia, as well as a columnist on Deutsche Welle Amharic service focusing on the issues of human rights and democratization.
