With online business it's easy for dishonest people to take advantage of a money back guarantee policy. In my experience, I've found that 5-10% of clients have no intention of paying for a product or service if it is easy for them to get away with it. Having this many disputes to deal with is time consuming, frustrating and costly as an online business owner. Much better to run your business based on honesty and refund people who should be refunded while making it extremely clear what your customers are buying. That way there is no reason for anyone to dispute anything. If you're luring your clients in with crazy promises just to get them to buy (get rich quick, lose 30lbs in a week, find the love of your life by Friday) then you will have a ton of refunds to deal with. For that reason, being honest about what you're selling is a much better way to go.
