What Next for the Trails Series? - What did the Nihon Falcom announcement mean for fans after Trails of Cold Steel? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On 29th June 2019, at the Dengeki Festival, Nihon Falcom were granted a special event as a celebration of The Legend of Heroes. The Trails series is now celebrating its 15th anniversary
With Trails of Cold Steel now complete, we were vying for news from Nihon Falcom as to the future path, and whether we would get a new Kiseki series. People were asking the question 'What next after Trails of Cold Steel'.
On an exclusive Nihon Falcom Livestream, we received confirmation of a continuation of the story. The Trails series has now got full confirmation that a new trails series arc is in the making, with Nihon Falcom splitting their team to accomodate for other side projects that they work alongside with.
Nihon Falcom have confirmed that the New Trails Series will take place in the Eastern Zemuria, which many people believe to be the Calvard Republic. With Trails of Cold Steel End of Saga complete, we as fans will have to wait a fair amount of time for this new trails series to hit the market. But i'm sure the wait will be worth it to expand The Trails Universe.
Nihon Falcom have showed off some new concept art, a new map, and some teasers for us to bite in to, and though some found the Nihon Falcom Live stream to be disappointing, it was a good event to clarify where we are with The Trails Series.
