Meeting of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant with taxi operators seems to have failed to settle to an amicable solution over app based taxi services. CM Sawant had called meeting of all taxi operators to resolve the long dragged issue of App based taxi services. Initially the taxi operators denied attending the meeting citing permission for atleast 4 representatives of each association. However, later the meeting started when all members were allowed to attend the meet. According to sources no solution has been obtained as the Taxi owners remain stubborn over their demand of scrapping ‘Goa Miles’. However, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stated that App based taxi services is an answer to illegal Rent a Car and Rent a Bike services and that Goa Miles will continue.
