Many items in your home probably get neglected because it seems like they will take too long to clean or you just don't notice them. Here are 4 things I clean and how they can be done easily and quickly. 1) Door tracks - I do this chore quarterly with my Dyson, a dryer sheet, and a micro fiber cloth (sometimes I use a cleaning solution if there are spills). It took me less that five minutes and now it looks clean and opens and closes easier! This can increase the usability of the door!
2) Chandelier - I do this annually and all you really need to do is spray it down with Windex. You can let it drip-dry or wipe it with a microfiber cloth. It took me 10 minutes. But, when it had gone years without being cleaned, it took be 3 hours because Windex was not enough! It is something worth keeping up on.
3) Doors - If your door has decorative creases, just wipe it down with a microfiber cloth. It should take you 15-30 seconds and it makes it look so clean. This is the type of thing that makes you and others feel like your house is clean when they walk in the door. I do this quarterly.
4) Fans - Take the fan apart (it is so easy and the parts each have instructions on them). I used only a flat head screwdriver for this. Then I put it in the tub and sprayed it down with Fantastick. I used a scrub brush to get the gunk out of the cover and a microfiber cloth to get the stubborn spots. Then I rinsed it all off, let it dry, and reassembled. I intend to do this 2x per year, but this was the first cleaning. The clean-time was about 15 minutes.
