Trump imposes new sanctions on Iran, targets supreme leader

US President Donald Trump has imposed what he's called "hard-hitting" new sanctions on Iran's leadership.
The measures go all the way up to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and will bar the leaders from accessing financial instruments.
Tehran has condemned the move, saying the US has no interest in diplomacy.
