Hello, I’m pleased to announce that MCDHH will be posting to hire for the newly created position of Human Resources Liaison. The person in this position will be responsible for working closely with the Commissioner, as well as with executive management, managers, and staff. The Liaison will serve as the link between MCDHH and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services Human Resources Department. Duties also include day-to-day management of staff and ensuring that all MCDHH employees are compliant with training requirements. The Liaison also provides support and professional development trainings and leverages other resources. The position is also responsible for diversity and ADA compliance as well as for monitoring workplace safety. When HR issues arise, the Liaison will be responsible for investigation and will serve as the connection to the union or other party, to ultimately resolve the issue at hand.
There are several desired entrance requirements for the position and a key one is a knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL). If an applicant is not ASL fluent, she or he must demonstrate a willingness to learn. Deaf and hard-of-hearing applicants are encouraged to apply.
