A look at the criteria and choice of medal recipients

Every year for the last 30 years, Uganda has celebrated heroes day. An annual event to pay tribute to people who exemplified and defended the highest values of patriotism and sacrifice for the wellbeing of the country and its citizens. The theme for the celebration this year was “Celebrating the Courageous Heroes that brought the peace and prosperity we are enjoying”. Many Ugandans though, have had questions about what qualifies one to receive a heroes day medal.
