COMMENT below if you would like me to do more wire jewelry (more earring designs, bracelets, necklaces, etc)!
LIKE this video if you enjoyed it!
Materials:
Beads - from various places including Michaels, Amazon and other small arts and craft stores
Fish hook earring wire (
Head pin (
Eye pin (
Jump ring (
Alternatively, you could create these wire materials using a single coil of wire and pliers. If you’re interested in this, let me know below in the comments and I’ll make a dedicated video about that!
Tools (for all wire jewelry projects):
Round-nose pliers (to create loops)
Needle-nose pliers (for grip and to open/close loops)
Wire-cutter (alternately use needle-nose pliers to cut wires)
Alternatively, you could get a jewelry making kit that contains all these and more (
Earring Designs:
1. Large highlight bead and smaller secondary beads leading up to the fish hook wire - 00:10
This is a very common style for earrings. Pick any large highlight bead. And choose a few (depending on length of earring) supporting beads to go on top
2. Large charm with supporting beads - 2:50
This is an interesting twist on the common single bead earrings.
3. Multiple strands of dangling beads - 3:41
This dangling style highlights the jewelry wire a bit more and is a great first design to move on to more advance jewelry wire techniques
4. Symmetric earrings with contrasting center bead - 5:54
A traditional design with a fun pop of color!
Thanks for watching!
