1. Fenugreek Seeds:

One serving of a breakfast cereal with oatmeal or oat bran provides 3 to 4 grams of fiber. If you add fruit, such as a banana or berries, you'll get even more fiber.
3. Lemon:
Lemons are said to be a great source of Vitamin C and drinking lemon juice on a daily basis can reduce the level of bad LDL cholesterol in the body. Lemon juice is high in citric acid which makes it an amazing natural cleanser. Drink some lemon juice with warm water first thing every morning on an empty stomach.
4. Fatty Fish:
Fatty fish are good source of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. They can lower the LDL in body by replacing the meat which has high LDL increasing saturated fats and also by providing LDL lowering fats. These Omega-3 fatty acids reduce the triglycerides in the blood and save the heart from irregular rhythms. Sterols and stanols are extracted from the plants which are similar in shape and size to cholesterol. They get absorbed in to the blood stream easily and block the cholesterol form getting absorbed which lowers the cholesterol in the body.
You can get sterols from vegetable oils, nuts, seeds, etc however, that is not enough and that is why companies these days are adding them to foods like orange juice, milk, bars and chocolates. You can also get them in supplement forms in the market.
10. Soya:
Soya beans and all the food items made of them such as tofu, soy milk, etc are rich in protein, minerals and vitamins which make them perfect for a healthy diet. Soy food is considered as a powerful way to lower the cholesterol level in the body. You can replace your dairy products with soya alternatives to get good results.
