The Inland Empire was one of the hardest hit areas during the last economic recession. One in four of my constituents experienced foreclosure, and lost their homes. To help consumers navigate this tough process and to protect them from abuses by banks and other lenders, Senator Elizabeth Warren created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). This week, I’m voting to pass the Consumer First Act to put working class Americans first by blocking the Trump Administration's anti-consumer agenda and strengthening CFPB’s efforts to crack down on predatory lending practices.
