New drug launched to offer more malaria treatment options

The ministry of health last evening launched launched a new anti-malaria drug to help fight the malaria scourge in the country. According to the ministry, Pyramax is another option from the existing anti-malaria treatment on the market and will not necessarily affect the already existing drugs. The new drug has been licensed and meets the required standards according to Dr. Jimmy Opigo, the program manager of the national malaria control programme.#NTVNews
