Equality Act DISCRIMINATES Against Women To Protect LGBT!

The #EqualityAct has passed the house with overwhelming Democratic Party support and minimal support from the other side, with only 8 Republicans voting in favor of the bill. It’s purpose is to prevent discrimination against LGBTQ+ people in the United States in areas of employment, public spaces, finances, and more.

Opponents of the bill say that this will negatively impact women and place others in serious danger. If a person cannot be discriminated against due to their gender identity, then there cannot be men’s and women’s restrooms. Men’s and women’s locker rooms. Men’s and women’s sports. And so on. Because anyone at any time can say they identify as whatever gender they’d like and be granted access to that gender’s particular space.

Then there are things like athletic college admissions. If a male decided to identify as female, he would have a biological advantage over any sport that women engage in. Title 9 would be essentially wiped away.

Going back to the case of the gay wedding cake, the baker would most likely be forced to prepare that cake. Religious liberty would be trampled on.

There are so many ways that this particular bill will impede upon the rights of others all in the name of trying to serve the LGBTQ+ community with rights that they feel they are entitled to. It is not likely to pass the Republican controlled Senate let alone get signed by the President into law, but one thing it does is show how far left and out of touch the Democratic party, and some Republicans, have become.
