2019 Superintendent's Scholars Awards

2019 Superintendent's Scholars Awards The top high school seniors from Polk County Public Schools were honored on Thursday, April 18, 2019, during the fifth annual Superintendent’s Scholars Awards.

More than 1,000 seniors qualified for this award that recognized their outstanding educational achievements. Superintendent’s Scholars include graduating seniors who have earned a 3.8 weighted GPA or higher by their seventh semester.

During the ceremony, each student introduced themselves, announced their college or career plans, and received a medallion to be worn at graduation.

“We are immensely proud of our Superintendent’s Scholars Award recipients,” said Superintendent Jacqueline M. Byrd. “They have worked incredibly hard, they have dedicated themselves to the pursuit of academic excellence, and now they will graduate at the top of their classes. I look forward to celebrating them and their accomplishments.”
